BOOST PROGRAM MANAGER/TRAINING COORDINATOR
Amanda Patterson, a native of Asheville, is a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) and Qualified Professional (QP) with over nine years of experience in the behavioral health field. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at Mars Hill University. In recovery since 2007, Amanda is deeply committed to supporting individuals and families on their journey toward healing and stability.
Prior to joining Operation Gateway, Amanda worked full-time with Dayspring Foundation as a Care Navigator through the Healthy Opportunities Pilot. She also worked with DHHS, supporting parents navigating addiction and mental health challenges while working toward reunification with their children. Amanda has served on Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams in rural communities, providing intensive, community-based support. During COVID, she also supported women recently released from prison who had no housing plan.
In her role at Operation Gateway, Amanda continues to champion recovery-focused, person-centered support. She believes in meeting people exactly where they are and values trauma-informed approaches as essential to lasting healing.
Beyond her professional work, Amanda is a proud mother and grandmother who cherishes time with her family. Above all, her faith in God remains at the center of her life.
